Our namesake says it all, “Timber Craft”. We have gone to great lengths selecting just the right wood casks to finish our Bourbon Whiskey in. Like all distillers, we take pride in our distillation process, painstakingly monitoring every step as we craft each batch of our whiskey, yet there is a bit of extra magic as the whiskey meets the cask. You won’t find a more flavorful whiskey anywhere.
Crafting trees into barrels is an ancient art form, dating back to nearly 300 BC. Wood choice plays an integral role in the final steps of the distillation process. The alcohol in whiskey acts as a solvent which breaks down the wood compounds, delivering a gamut of distinctly aged flavors in our whiskeys.
Ninety- Eight draws you in at first sip with it’s smooth caramel notes and coats your mouth with a warm but friendly hug of vanilla and toffee. A few subtle fruit notes wash over, then glide off the tongue and finish extremely smooth with a whisper of nutmeg and butterscotch just like Grandad’s favorite pocket candy.
